Waarom Gajumara zo veel voor me betekent
Ik had nog nooit van Yaima gehoord toen ik ze live aan het werk zag in januari 2020 op een conscious dance festival in Akasha Ubud. Niet lang daarna, toen ik terug in België was, begon de pandemie en ik kreeg een Covid infectie, die op zijn beurt een hartvliesontsteking veroorzaakte.
Langzaam herstelde ik en tijdens mijn genezing ontdekte ik spiritualiteit. Bij elke nieuwe fase in mijn herstel resoneerde een ander deel van de tekst van Gajumaru met mij. Het lied bleef bij me tijdens de hele periode mijn herstel en begeleidde me door het proces.
